Barked up the wrong tree this time, Griswold
The ground floor bathroom of our tri-level home housed the heating unit and water heater, the washer and dryer, served as a changing room in the summertime for pool activities, and all dwellers within used the laundry tub sink to brush their teeth before bed. In addition to being the ideal place to drop a deuce because of a locking door and the sound of the HV and the washer and dryer covering up the letting off of the kids at the pool — my head was shampooed and conditioned in that laundry tub sink many a time I was too lazy to take a full shower.
Problematic poops happen. It’s a fact of life.
It was during one of these difficult defecations I was gifted time to look around the bathroom with more discernment than was typical for me. I scanned the place from top to bottom. Looking skyward, I saw a ceiling tile slightly askew and there in the space above was the corner of a VHS tape and I could just make out the label: Claymation Christmas. I was so excited to see it. It had inexplicably disappeared from our shelf of tapes used to record programs off the television.
